Please Donate Today!
We’re a community-led organisation and we give back so others don’t give up.
Lifeline Loddon Mallee is responsible for raising 75% of the funds needed to operate their suicide prevention and mental health services themselves.
The generosity and support of people within the community allows us to do that.
Our Donations
We are one of 41 centres Australia wide who provide a range of services to the Loddon Mallee community.
Donations made to our center have a HUGE impact on the work we do in the center and an even greater ripple effect within our community.
Have you ever thought about making a donation and helping us support the community?
All donations are tax-deductible, and no amount is too small to be of help to someone who is struggling.
Did you know?
Our call centres provide short term crisis support to community members who are struggling.
We service a population of almost 300,000 residents.
All funds raised and donations made to us stay locally to help our local communities.
We provide domestic violence awareness, suicide prevention, mental health first aid, suicide awareness and accidental counselling training.
Most of our fundraising comes from members of our community.
We want to ensure that no one has to feel like taking their own life is the only solution to a bad situation.
We want to ensure that no one has to endure the grief of losing a loved one to suicide.
We want to partner and connect, so that we can build a strong and safe community.
But we can’t do it without the ongoing support of people and businesses within our community.
THE POWER OF YOUR DONATION
Say you were to donate $3500 that would train one additional ‘Telephone Crisis Supporter - TCS’
(This is the name we give our accredited volunteers, who commit to a one-year training program to be able to answer calls.)
We know that more TCS’s, means more calls answered. We know more calls answered, means more people helped and most importantly more lives saved.
YOUR BIGGER IMPACT
The training of TCS also provides a greater level if crisis support within the community as volunteers undergo a yearlong training program and then use their skills in the broader community too. If we were able to train an additional 15 volunteers we can answer an additional 780 calls from help seekers, each year.
The ripple effect of training these 15 volunteers for the boarder community means that the close family and friends each volunteer comes into frequent contact with will benefit from their new skills. If you then consider each of these volunteers have a further close contact they come into regular contact with - neighbors, co-workers, school community and other contacts, that could also benefit from their new skills.
That's 900 community members who will benefit from the training PLUS the help seekers who call in.
